About McGloins Supertex

Providing quality products to the Australian retail industry since 1932.

McGloins-Supertex Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned wholesaler and distributor of quality products to pharmacy & 
drugstores, discount department stores, supermarket chains, independent grocery, hardware stores, gift stores,
homeware stores and other independent retail outlets. 

The newly merged company encompasses the traditional pharmacy supply business of McGloins, established in 
1932 with Supertex, a homeware manufacturer and importer started in 1942. The new company was formed in 
June 2016 when the Barnes family acquired Supertex to diversify and extend their existing business into new customers and 
markets. The Barnes family have owned McGloins since 1999 and the newly-formed business represents the
experience and history of both companies in supplying quality products to Australian retail customers. 

McGloins-Supertex Pty Ltd distributes a range of local and international brands, operating out of Sydney head office with 
a warehouse in Goulburn. Head office is located in Sydney's Hills District with sales representatives in
each state to ensure we offer high service levels nationwide. Our product range is regularly updated with new lines from our supply partners here and abroad to ensure we have a constant, fresh offering of well-priced, quality products. Our ranges are marketed at the Melbourne and Sydney gift fairs in August and 
February, and of course on our website!
